Position Summary:

We are seeking an Omaha based, dedicated Virtual Nurse to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in blending traditional healthcare with cutting-edge technology. Serving a diverse adult population, you will collaborate with on-site medical teams across various healthcare systems to provide exceptional virtual inpatient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage patient admission and discharge processes effectively. 
  • Collaborate with on-site care team members for comprehensive virtual inpatient care.
  • Educate patients and families, facilitating a thorough understanding of care plans.
  • Coordinate with bedside teams for cohesive patient care strategies.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with documentation requirements.
  • Mentor and coach bedside nurses and care team members.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Current RN licensure or unencumbered compact nursing license.
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited school.
  • Proven nursing skills with a focus on assessments and care coordination.
  • Strong clinical judgment and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in using technology.
  • Familiarity with EMR systems like Epic, Cerner, or Meditech.
  • Valid BLS (and ACLS, if required) certification.
  • Commitment to maintaining hospital-based credentials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading a team of virtual nurses and observation assistants accountable to providing exceptional, remote patient care, ensuring effective collaboration with bedside healthcare providers.
  • Leading your team to educate patients and their families, providing thorough understanding and guidance.
  • Serving as a point of escalation for the virtual team and on-site bedside team, should it be necessary.
  • Ensuring the accuracy of medical documentation from your team, in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Offering guidance and support to novice nurses and care team members.
  • Contributing to key metrics for quality programs, aligning clinical operations with organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Safeguarding all confidential health information, ensuring secure electronic transmission for care collaboration.
  • Performing related duties as the healthcare environment and technologies evolve.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Nurse Manager, ideally in virtual or telehealth nursing.
  • Strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of healthcare practices.
  • Proficiency in virtual healthcare technologies and platforms.
  • Current RN licensure or unencumbered compact nursing license.

  • 3+ years of acute hospital patient care experience, ideally in med-surg, emergency, or critical care.

  • Familiarity with EMR systems like Epic, Cerner, or Meditech.

Maria Hagen

COO

Maria Hagen currently serves as Chief Operating Officer at OASIS Virtual Care in Omaha, Nebraska since November, 2023. In this role she oversees the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the business. She brings over 30 years of Executive Leadership experience across a diverse suite of healthcare business functions including Virtual Care Services, Global Software Development, Clinical, Revenue Cycle and Change Management Consulting, Clinical and Revenue Cycle Implementations, Managed IT Services and Hosting Services. She has led many large scale transitions and has driven transformative business model changes throughout global organizations. She is passionate about bringing innovative
product and service solutions to market that will drive and transform healthcare operations, efficiency and outcomes.

She is a graduate of Drexel University and holds degrees in Management of Computerized Information Systems and Finance. She is a guest lecturer for Executive MBA programs at local universities and serves as a mentor to early career executive colleagues around the globe.

Ms. Hagen partners with our healthcare organizations to effectuate a new care team delivery
model that promotes top of license professional practice, staff satisfaction and exceptional
patient experience by providing high tech compassionate care.

Kevin Weber

VP OF SALES

Over the last decade Kevin has worked with health systems across the US to successfully create, implement and service virtual nursing programs. He is passionate about transforming patient care and developing long-lasting trusted partnerships. Kevin has over 20 years of strategic healthcare, technology and operational sales experience. He brings expertise, vision and energy to grow and expand all revenue generating activities. Kevin joins OASIS as the VP Sales, he is looking forward to growing virtual services within patient care, as innovation drives new ways care is being delivered.

Jeff Broz

President & CEO

As one of the pioneers in virtual nursing nearly a decade ago, Jeff has been a driving force in the world of healthcare IT and clinical workflow technology. Serving as the President and CEO of OASIS, Jeff brings a wealth of expertise and strategic leadership experience to the table.

Jeff started his career in the clinical radiology world before diving headfirst into the transformation from analog to digital in the medical imaging realm. This experience immersed him in the impact technology has on clinicians and clinical workflow, as well as the dos and don’ts of technical design and change management.

Jeff is not just a seasoned professional but also a forward-thinker, consistently innovating in the healthcare and technology sectors. His leadership, dedication, and passion for excellence have left a lasting mark on each organization he’s been a part of.
